The President of the National Theatre of China

Mr. Zhou’s career in culture and arts began in 1973. After being an actor in Shanghai Film Actor Troup, he came to China Children Art Theater and successively served as actor, Assistant of the President, and Vice President. Prior to serving as Director in Arts Office of Grand National Theater more than three years since 2005, he is appointed to be the President of the National Theatre Company of China in 2009.

He has served concurrently as supervisor in the Chinese Art Festival Foundation, director of Chinese Performers Association, and director of China-Japan Friendship Association.

As a well-known dubbing artist, he has dubbed numerous films, such as Patton, Beauty and the Beast, the Lord of the Rings and so on. He also worked as narrator in The Palace Museum, which is a large-scale documentary, produced by China Central Television (CCTV).

Mr. Zhou is engaged in arts management for many years, and he has produced many plays, including the Broadway Musical Beauty and the Beast.

As the government-selected visiting scholar, he was twice invited to Japan between 1993 and 2000. His efforts have further enhanced cultural exchange between China and foreign countries.
